Teck Sing Restaurant: Most popular restaurant for Paper Baked Chicken

Most weekends, I will return to Malaysia Johor to visit my relatives and we will have family meals together. Teck Sing Restaurant will always be one of my recommendations. The most popular restaurant known Paper Baked Chicken.

THE EXPERIENCE

It was on a Monday lunch hour when my family and I decided to visit Teck Sing Restaurant. It was a 10 minutes walk from KSL Shopping Mall. You faced a string of shophouses filled with different varieties of restaurants, and Teck Sing Restaurant was one among them. However, do not expect too much from their decoration and it can get noisy during peak hours. However, what matters to me most will be delicious food, affordable cost, and efficient service.

Though full house, we waited only 15 minutes for a table. Aside from the menus, you will also be given a plate of watermelons as appetitsers. However, bear in mind that it is not free, and you have an option to opt-out.

Tech Sing Restaurant is well known for their Paper Baked Chicken which is a dish I can’t skip in my list of orders. I also went for their Sharks Fin, Curry Fish Head which is also one of their popular dishes, Stir-fried Kai Lan, Hot Plate Bean Curd, and Fu Yong Egg.

Even when the restaurant was running busy, I expected the dishes to arrive a little later, but we were served about 20 minutes later.

Came first was the Sharks Fin. The one thing about me, I like Sharks Fin least starchy and Tech Sing Restaurants serves the level of taste I enjoy most.

The herbal fragrance smell from the Paper Wrapped Chicken is making me hungry. The meat is so tender and tasty with the herbs nicely blended into the whole chicken.

The Curry Fish Head will be my next favorite. I hunt around for the best Curry Fish Head in Johor and to be fair, Tech Sing Restuarnat’s Curry Fish Head is at an acceptable standard with a balance taste of curry not too spicy. The fish head is fresh and the vegetables mix were great. It just makes you want to go on and on, digging in and wanting more.
