THE EXPERIENCE
I am always hungry over a delicious plate of chicken rice and they have one of the best I ate. Their Samsui Chicken dip in ginger sauce is awesome. It has been years and I am still enjoying this dish. It is always well-plated served and their chicken is tender juicy.
Soup restaurant is also popular for their herbal soups of course. Their Double Boiled Waisan & Ginseng Roots with Chicken Soup and Double Boiled Dried Scallop with Black Chicken Soup are among the local favourites.
In my most recent visit, I was with a special guest from Vietnam and I brought her to have a taste of Hong Kong cuisines which I felt very close to our local dishes.
All Soup Restaurants come with a standard concept of a Hong Kong impression, using antique-looking marble surfaces, wooden tables, and chairs. The staffs are always very attentive to orders and servings.
I went for my usual Samsui Ginger Chicken, Clay Pot Tofu, and Pork Ribs Lotus Soup. This time around, I went for their Tofu Prawn as well.
THE OUTCOME
Soup Restaurant is never a disappointment. The Clay Pot Tofu is a class of its own; Something which I felt was different from any other places I tried. The sauce is extraordinary which blends in perfectly with the Tofu which is soft and it just felt like it melts in your mouth. The Pork Ribs Lotus Soup is tasty and the ingredients are always generous. The new dish which is the Tofu Prawn is so delicious.; The egg gravy which is made with egg together with the sweetness of tomato and spiciness of chilli sauce blending in with Tofu and Prawns making this dish so outstanding. Surely I will be back for this again.
