Rocky Master: One of the most affordable cafes in Singapore
Having visited so many cafes in Singapore, which commonly serve waffles and cakes, there is 1 café that stood out for me when comes to dine-in, and that will be Rocky Master, one of the most affordable cafes in Singapore.
I have been visiting Rock Master cafes for at least 5 years especially the outlet at Delfi Orchard. With the convenience of having several outlets across Singapore, it will be easy access to have your client meetings over coffee, and after which you can continue to have a decent dinner.
My most recent visit was last Friday with my apprentice, the outlet at Northpoint. Open concept but since it lies within the shopping mall, you will be expecting air-conditioned. However, the difference between Rocky Masters at Northpoint compared to Delfi Orchard was that it was self-service. You may refer to the menu on their signboards. A decent number of varieties for a café I must say. They have Quesadilla, Burger, Pasta and Baked Rice, Pizza, and Local Favourites.
If you are looking for something light, try their All-Day Breakfast or Sandwiches. They have lots to choose from.
Usually, I will go with my Laksa Supreme been the primary choice, followed by their Pan-Fried Carrot Cake with Prawns.
Their Laksa Supreme got to be one of the best Laksa I had. Though priced at $13.50, it was full of ingredients. The gravy is thick enough and not too spicy, came with slices of fish cakes, fish balls, slices of cucumbers, fried beancurd, and big prawns.
The Pan-Fried Carrot Cake with Prawns was delicious. Unlike the typical ones we see at hawker stalls, this is a white base, a class of its own. The carrot cake was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The prawns were fresh and cooked well too.
Not something we will expect from a café of such good standards. No wonder I have been visiting them for years and will continue to do so.
