Hotpot Story: Popular and Affordable Hotpot Restaurant at Ho Chi Minh City

Whether you have it in a restaurant or by the streets, Hotpot has always been the thing that every Vietnamese will enjoy, for all occasions which is what I love best apart from seafood buffets.

Hot Story has several outlets in Ho Chi Minh but the one which I frequent most will be the outlet at Takashimaya.

They have 2 types of orders you can choose either Ala Carte or Buffet. For a big eater like me, surely, I will go for Buffet… Hahaha. They come with 3 types of soup base and you get to choose up to 2 different kinds of soup base of your choice.

My preferred choice will always be Tom Yum because of the taste of spiciness with the sour-sweet taste. Personally, I felt that it is good and spicy enough for me but for those who can’t go well with spiciness then you might be in for a little trouble.

The wait was about 10 minutes and I was served with a big pot of Tom Yum Soup with a wide range of meats, seafoods, and vegetables. You will see prawns, squids, fish cakes, pork, chicken and beef together with good varieties of vegetables and side dishes.

Here comes the best part. It is not an expensive place to visit. Probably cost you about 250,000 Vietnam Dong and I enjoyed their prompt services and friendly staffs.

Hotpot Story has been one of my favourite place to dine in at least once in every of my Ho Chi Minh City trip.
