Holiday Villa Johore Bahru City Centre

40 years of my life, I have never once stayed in a Johor hotel. Not that is necessary, most of my relatives are based in Johor and Kuala Lumpur. I have been sleeping at their place since young.

However, in the recent Lunar New Year, I decided to give a try at one of Johor hotels to do some exploring on my own and so I decided to go for Holiday Villa Johore Bahru City Centre. To be honest, I was attracted by the name ‘Villa’, if it might be especially nice. Unfortunately, just a usual hotel room.

The room was standard. The view was great but there isn’t much to see in Johor. Basically, you will see terrace houses more than anything else so nothing for me to shout about here.

However, one of the few things that I like about this hotel is their pool. For once, I spent hours in the pool side to read and do my reviews while take a dip occasionally. The view is good from the pool and I managed to capture some nice photos of the sunset. This is also one of the rare pools that close at 10pm.

Then the complimentary Buffet Breakfast was good. They served almost every Malaysian delight such as Nasi Lemak, Chicken Rendang, Beef Rendang, Chicken Curry, Roti Plata, Congee, Tim Sum and so much more. I was also told by a friend that they have one of the better dinner buffets in Johor. Sad that I didn’t have the chance to try it.

Here comes the best part of this review is that this hotel is that you need not worry about food. It is surrounded by restaurants and there are plenty for you to choose from and some of which are popular recommendation by Trip Advisor. I personally tried few of them and the reviews will be up soon.

The hotel is also just between KSL Mall and Holiday Plaza. They will be a good shopping destination for you.
