Hoang Yen Buffet Premier: Affordable and Good Asian Buffet

Sometimes, you just want to sit down with a friend, colleagues or families without having to rush your food, taking your own sweet time to chill and dine with a wide varieties of dishes to choose from, I will recommend you Hoang Yen Buffet Premier at Saigon Centre.

I have personally visited this restaurant 3 times. In all my three visits, they have been of different experiences but well, nowhere is perfect.

The one thing I like about the restaurant is that it is very spacious with a cosy ambience. While it is not fine dining standard but it has comfortable bench seats while also table seats which cater to bigger crowd.

Given the fact that it is on a Friday evening dine-in, the staffs are very attentive for such a crowd size of almost 80% occupancy.

However, when it comes down to food, truthfully, they have a wide range of Vietnamese cuisines to choose from but don’t go over the top about the taste. I personally feel acceptable standard. The seasoning of some dishes is weak, especially the meat dishes. The steam fish is my favourite though.

The funniest encounter I had was during my 1st visit, I thought that each customer will be given half a mini grilled lobster with cheese. However, during my last visit, there aren’t any. The problem with this restaurant is apart from the ones at the front door, they are lacking English-speaking staffs.

Well, I do like their fruit platters and desserts.

Is a place I will visit occasionally if ideas run dry but in Vietnam especially in Ho Chi Minh City, there will surely be options. There are surely room for improvement in some aspects of this restaurant because the changes that have been implemented by the franchise is something that does not meet my basic expectations, especially for the price you are paying for.
