Harry’s: A Popular Good Old Restaurant Bar in Singapore

While waiting to watch Spiderman at Golden Village Plaza Singapura, I was searching for a dinner place.  As I recalled, there was a Harry’s near the Taxi stand I alighted earlier on.  Harrys is probably the most popular Restaurant Bar in Singapore. Let me give it another attempt for their burgers because the last time I had it was at least 4 years ago?  Anyway, I am still hunting for my favourite burger place so might as well give it a shot.

It was about 7 in the evening, Harry’s was only 30% filled.  Like any Harry’s, I always enjoy the cosy ambience, giving me a warm feeling as I entered the place ushered by the friendly waitress.

Did they change the menu because currently now, they have a better balance between food and drinks? I went ahead with the Harry’s Jazz Burger, which consists of Wagyu Beef Patty, Bacon, and Double Cheese with an Egg Over Easy add on.  As for the drink, I went for a Coke since I am a non-alcoholic.

Generally, the presentation was good.  I am not sure if I can write well for the burger because it was dry and lack of seasoning.  I don’t think I was sick that day to lose my sense of taste.  Should have gone for something else instead such as Steak & Egg under their mains or Hawaiian Pizza perhaps. However, their fries were not bad.

Anyway, for a restaurant bar in Singapore with such strong branding, for the price of it, maybe it will be worthwhile considering an option for patrons to choose the type of patty made because I always love my beef to be in medium-rare.  $24… pretty stiff.

However, Harry’s is still a great place to catch up with your friends or colleagues for some beers, cocktails, wines or whiskeys. They have a long list on the menu for you to choose from.
