Five Oysters
Bui Vien Street is known for backpackers or a hippies’ place to hang out. A long street filled with bars, clubs, cafes, hotels, BBQ food street stalls and restaurants.
At the end of Bui Vien, you will chance upon one of my favorite restaurants, Five Oysters.
The whole setup of the restaurant is cozy and spacious with Vietnamese tradition impression and decorated with antiques. Dinning on wooden tables and chairs with a bar-counter tuck at the right of the restaurant if you are in for some affordable drinks.
Five Oysters serves authentic Vietnamese Food and fresh seafood. With its large menu listing, it covers most dishes of the Northern and Southern Vietnam.
Whenever I dine here, few dishes which I will recommend will be their Stewed Pork Meat with Egg, Sauteéd morning glory with garlic and Fried Red Snapper.
What I like best here is their Stewed Pork Meat with Egg; A traditional Vietnamese dish. My favorite. The seasoning is great and the pork is tender. The black sauce goes well with white rice just enjoy plainly.
Sure, I will return to this restaurant because I will visit at least once in each of my trip to Ho Chi Minh City not just for good food but is affordable and the ambience is great!
