Eighteen Chefs: Affordable Western Food Restaurant at Orchard Cineleisure
It is always good to read and listen to people’s success stories. The story of Benny is truly an inspiring one. How an ex-convict made his success in the Food & Beverages business and help other ex-convicts to a fresh start. Let’s check out the talk of the town and affordable western food restaurant, Eighteen Chefs.
THE EXPERIENCE
We visited the outlet at Orchard Cineleisure on a Wednesday evening. Despite it being a weekday, the dinner time queue was amazing long. I was told that there were bookings for 11 tables before us. Not wanting to miss this chance to dine here, we waited patiently for our turn.
Observing from the queue, the restaurant was really packed. The staffs were working their fair share of the workload in quite an orderly fashion. After more than 30 minutes of wait, it was our turn. We were ushered to our seats by a friendly staff.
They did have a good selection of dishes on the menu. Just to name a few, the food menu consisted of Pastas, Fish & Chips, Teriyaki Chicken, Striploin Steak, Rib Eye Steak, Japanese Curry Beef Rice, and Sweet & Sour Chicken. Trust me, they really know what locals commonly like to eat.
A buddy of mine got the Japanese Curry Beef Rice while I went for the Teriyaki Chicken. We too ordered a snack platter.
For the price you are paying, don’t expect anything fantastic. The Japanese Curry Beef Rice wasn’t as spicy as what my friend wanted it to be and in actual fact, it was not spicy at all. The beef was a little tough to bite. Thankfully my Teriyaki Chicken tasted better and was tender. However, the teriyaki sauce was a little salty. As for the snack platter, it tasted average but it came in a decent portion.
THE OUTCOME
It was a good dining experience. Generally, the food tasted fine and an affordable western food restaurant. The Food Society wishes Eighteen Chefs all the best.Rating: 3/5
