Chiyoda Sushi: New Japanese Restaurant that serves Delicious Sushi
Walking down the streets of District 1, still gave me a very sad feeling. So many hotels, restaurants and cafes are closed due to the pandemic. My 3rd day in, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and I was wondering what I should be having for lunch. Then I came across a new Japanese restaurant, Chiyoda Sushi, which is well recommended by my Vietnamese friend, whom we are in discussion of opening an Ornamental Fish Retail Shop in Ho Chi Minh City.
A 4 story shophouse on its own, I was well greeted at the entrance by a friendly hostess who brought me to my seat. I love the overall Japanese setting and comforting environment.
It is normal when you are served a big or thick heavy menu by the waitress at most Japanese restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City. You just have to take your time to scroll through the pages. Hopefully, they will change to a tablet menu soon.
Chiyoda Sushi is well known for their freshly made Sushi, and you can see that in its wide range of varieties. Their Sashimi are very popular among the locals. They do have other options such as Grilled, Nikko Beef, Junwakei Chicken, Hotpot, Tofu and Tempura.
Well, having too much BBQ food yesterday, I thought I should something ‘soupy’ today. I went for their Collagen Hotpot and assorted Tempura.
Served on artisan ceramic plates, the Tempura tenderness and sweet on the inside and crispy on the outside. The Collagen Hotpot was filled with ingredients such as Strips of Pork Belly, Tofu, Assorted Mushrooms, and Vegetables. What I like best is the soup with a strong aroma fragrance, and tasteful.
Is not an expensive Japanese restaurant given the standard and aestheticism of dishes served especially when their Head Chef is Japanese. Overall experiences have been great. I will give compliments to the staffs for their friendliness and attentiveness. I will surely return to try their Sushi on my next trip.
