It is all about the waiting and waiting during the Lunar New Year period…. Yes! you really need to wait for your turn to get a table and the wait continues for the food to arrive. This year, I easily waited between 45 mins to 1.5 hours for my dinner to arrive. But we can all agree on one thing; some food is worth the wait!

Every year, I will travel to Malaysia on the 3rd day of Lunar, visiting my relatives in different parts of Malaysia and during this period, most stalls and restaurants will be closed, it will be a challenge to find a place to dine in. Even made a lot of calls and no one seemed to pick up, hence, decided to take a walk around and hopefully able to find something good.

Ahhh… the good thing about the hotel I am staying is that it is just directly opposite KSL City and surrounding it are filled with overwhelming restaurants and street stalls. Boy! am I glad that some restaurants are open and guess what, one of the more popular Claypot Chicken Rice street restaurant in Johore Bahru isn’t closed but it is full house! I was told that I need to wait for thirty minutes to get a table. But it is okay, I was willing to wait for something worthy of my taste buds.

They managed to offer me a table after about 20 mins and without considering much, I went ahead with their recommended Claypot Chicken Rice, Lotus Root Peanut Soup and Char Po Egg.

However, I have to continue waiting for another 20 mins before my food arrived. I shall be forgiving, knowing that it is understandable during this festive peak period. At least they advised me that the wait is going to be long but It was my decision to wait.

After all the waiting, here comes the good news!
