Punggol Nasi Lemak: Why Punggol Nasi Lemak is so popular!

One of my favourite places to have a satisfying plate of Nasi Lemak will be at Punggol Nasi Lemak. The brunch along Jalan Besar.

Whenever I have an event at City Square, I will drop by Punggol Nasi Lemak to have my dinner. Is just about 10 minutes walk from City Square shopping mall.

THE EXPERIENCE

Especially during dinner time, be ready to face a long queue. Nevertheless, the waiting time might not be that long as the kitchen operates in a very systematic and efficient order. You will be bound to receive a warm well-prepared plate of Nasi Lemak.

What I like about this restaurant will be their simple setup of white tables and chairs, clean and spacious. It is air-conditioned.

Unlike other Nasi Lemak stalls, this restaurant has prepared several combo sets for you to choose from. Of course, you may request additional add-ons from their selective range of side dishes such as Curry Vegetables, Otah, Crispy Fried Chicken Wing, Lady’s Finger, Brinjal, Long Beans, among others.

My favourite is Combo 2. The chicken wing never failed me. It is beautifully fried, crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. 1 is never enough for me and I will go for additional plus Curry Vegetables as my side dish.

The fragrance from the coconut rice spices up everything with a touch of spicy-sweet sambal, blends in a perfect scoop of rice, simply melts in your mouth. Last but not least, I may not a big fan of Ikan Billis but I make an exception for this place because it is crispy and mild salty enough for my liking.
