Cedar Point Food Centre: Best food court in Johor Bahru

The one thing I will agree, ever since I became a Food Blogger is that great food does not necessarily come from high-end restaurants. Since childhood days, there is this food court across the street of my grandmother’s home at Century Garden or right behind the prominent Grand Paragon Hotel and it is called Cedar Point Food Court. It has been more than 20 years and I am back here today, still enjoying yet delicious food.

They served all kinds of local dishes such as Samba BBQ Stingray, Samba BBQ Squid, Claypot Chicken Rice, BBQ Sticks of Chicken, Pork, Mutton and Beef, Seafood, Curry Fish Head and so much more. It is going to be a long review if I am going to cover most of the stalls there, so I am just going to pick 2 of my personal favourites.

There are two dishes which I will want to highlight is the stall selling Claypot Chicken Rice. It is one of the best I tried in Malaysia, Johore. Small is RM7 and Big is RM15. Especially during peak hours, you will have to wait a little longer but good food, always worth the wait isn’t it. The moment it arrived, off the cover from the claypot and the fragrance of steam floating out was awesome! The combination of Chinese Sausages, Salted Fish, Chicken and the mixture of Black Sauce and Rice make gave it the perfect taste.

The last dish which I want to recommend is the Curry Fish Head. Not too spicy but well blended with the tender meat of the Curry Fish Head, served with Tofu, Cabbage, Lady Fingers, and other ingredients.

5 days stay and I ate this place 3 times showed how much I like this place since my childhood days. It is inexpensive.
